Alkaline’s Attorney says Cops crossed the Boundaries, Deejay’s detention was unnecessary

Popular Dancehall Entertainer Alkaline’s attorney, Peter Champagnie spoke candidly earlier this week with Anthony Miller about his client’s recent stint with The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

According to Champagnie cops crossed the boundaries when they detained the “Badness It Name” deejay, real name Earlan Bartley for five days after he turned himself in on Thursday, February 9 for questioning in relation to the January murder of Rohan “Head” Morris in Oaks Garden, St Andrew. “The detention was unnecessary, it was unwarranted and really and truly it could have been handled another way,” he told Miller as cops objected to the artiste’s release on Monday, February 13 and wanted to keep him locked up for an additional week.

However Champagnie strongly believes this is the end of the matter and that cops won’t come at the vendetta deejay in relation to the case again. “In relation to why he was detained and the inquires that were made i do believe in the absence of anything more, not to say they had anything in the first instance, that’s my view i don’t believe it will resurrect itself again.”
