Recording artiste Telfon recently addressed a slew of topics including Vendetta deejay Alkaline, crime and violence in Jamaica, controversy in Dancehall music and siding with Popcaan during his interview with The Entertainment Report (ER).

The “Unruly Bobo” who revealed that his mother was raped and killed while he was at the tender age of one during the interview with Anthony Miller, says Dancehall music is a contributing factor for the rise in Crime and Violence in Jamaica due to it’s large influence on the youths living in the inner city. “The violent music that has been going on, you can see that the murder rate it step up,” he said. “That’s why i’m saying it to artistes even like Alkaline, Popcaan, Mavado, Vybz Kartel, unu nuh affi war but at the end of the day, if we war the people are going to war,” he added.

According to the “Gun Rise” deejay, while hardcore lyrics in Dancehall help to boost artistes career and generate income, it will also lead artistes like Alkaline astray. “Too much corruption every man want it for dem self and it a guh lead nuff youth astray, even like Alkaline, see it a lead him astray deh in a big way,” he said.
