Quada

Quada is keeping his spirits high despite facing murder charges.

Attorneys representing Dancehall artiste Quada say the deejay remains in ‘good spirits’ despite being in police custody.

On Tuesday Quada was arrested and charged with murder and arson following questioning by investigators.

Cops say the “Celebration” deejay was one of several people who beat and burned 29-year-old Miguel Williams, who died last April.

Williams was beaten to death by an angry mob following allegations that he was involved in the slaying of an eight-year-old girl in Sterling Castle Heights last year.

According to the deejay’s attorney, Bert Samuels, they are awaiting a court date in order to file for bail application.

“We were trying for tomorrow (today) for a date but we’re not sure if that will happen. We’re going to apply for bail and whether or not that is granted is up to the judge,” Samuels said.

“He’s in very good spirits because he is confident in his attorney and the justice system. We have a very good defence and we’re hoping that he’ll be granted bail.”

Some fans have since taken to social media calling for the deejay’s release, while others simply offered verbal support.

“Free Quada, a civil service fe kill rape boy. Uno fe give di ‘G’ a medal,” one fan agrily declared, while another declared ““Dem did want the rapist free? Nobody shouldn’t do nothin bout it? Man a rape eight-year-old and police nah do nothing bout it then when people do something, unu quick fi arrest dem.”
