Dancehall entertainer Dexta Daps remains in custody after being detained by the Police on Wednesday.
According to Head of the St Andrew South Police Division, Senior Superintendent Wayne Cameron, Dexta Daps, real name Louis Grandison was arrested in connection with ongoing investigations into shootings and gang activities in southern St Andrew area.
In a now-viral video, the Owner singer can be seen walking in handcuffs while surrounding by Law Enforcement officers in his Seaview Gardens community.
The Tropixs understands that the entertainer is now being held at being held at the Hunt’s Bay police station. Dexta Daps is being represented by Peter Champagnie. He maintains his innocence.
