Back in 1994, Faith Evans married the Notorious B.I.G. after knowing each other for just eight days. Although the couple’s relationship “kind of dissolved” amid the infamous East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry, infidelity and more, the two remained friends, until B.I.G’s untimely 1997 death.

The following year, Evans married Todd Russaw, who she then divorced in 2011. Now, almost 24 years after her first marriage, Evans has tied the knot with another Bad Boy vet, Stevie J.

However, as the details of their legal union come to the light, a few details about the singer’s previous marriage have been uncovered as well – including the fact that there’s no record of her marriage to the late legendary rapper.

Faith Evans Gets Married To Stevie J In Las Vegas

In new docs obtained by TMZ, Evan’s marriage license docs lists her recent marriage to Stevie as her second marriage, with the singer’s marriage and divorce from Russaw being the first. But, what about B.I.G.?

According to Evans, it’s all a big misunderstanding. Apparently, the marriage license bureau messed up the certificate, because she insists she told the clerk that her marriage to Stevie was, in fact, her third.

“Biggie was my first true love, he will always be acknowledged as such,” Evans said in the wake of the incident. “Everyone knows he was my husband.”
