Buju Banton hit the studio on Monday night to record new music.

The Grammy-winning entertainer teased Dancehall and Reggae fans on social media when he uploaded a short video recording a new song at his Gargamel Music Studio off Red Hills in St Andrew.

Unfortunately Buju Banton removed the audio from the video, “Yo world, working on the night shift… I’m feeling it, don’t worry you will too ?,” he wrote.

Buju Banton officially took control of his Instagram account last week Tuesday and uploaded a photo in his backyard which was followed by a now-viral video.

Setting on a bench, the Grammy-winning entertainer spoke to his fans for the first time since returning to Jamaica back in December.

“Eighty-six months of chains is finally over, i’ve deliberately kept my silence so i could observe with my own eyes what was going on, not only locally but globally, Banton said in the clip.

“How are you?! I am ready for you, are you ready for me? We have nuff things fi talk about.. Mi realize say a pan this (Instagram) everybody a talk and run off dem mouth pan eno.”

“Mi readily admit, i am ignorant to it, but i’m gonna get it you’ll see but until then stay tuned and i hope to see you because i need to see you, we got so much things to talk about,” he continued while laughing before the end of the video.

Buju Banton, whose given name Mark Anthony Myrie, returned to Jamaica last month. The entertainer was released from a US jail on December 7, after serving a 10-year sentence on drug-related charges.

The entertainer kicks off his highly anticipated Long Walk to Freedom Caribbean tour (LWFT) in Jamaica at the National Stadium on March 16.
