Buju Banton is looking to heat up the Dancehall scene with his new project “Steppaz Riddim.”

The Reggae superstar has put on his producer hat once again and has dropped a brand new beat.

The “Steppaz Riddim,” was released last Friday and features the singer as well as several Dancehall veterans.

Buju made the big announcement via Instagram last week by posting an audio clip of the various tracks on the beat. The project, of course, features the Gargamel himself, with his previously released single “Steppa.”

“STEPPAZ RIDDIM THIS FRIDAY,” Buju captioned the post.

The 11-track project features songs from veteran Dancehall stars such as; Delly Ranx, Ghost, Bling Dawg, General B, Nitty Kutchie, Tony Curtis, Mitch, Agent Sasco and of course, Buju Banton.

Joining the cast of veteran deejays is 29-year-old singjay Vershon with the track “Run Wanted.”

According to Vershon, he is very grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the pioneers of the genre. “Respect to the GOD Father @bujuofficial for putting me on this riddim SteppazRiddim #Reggae @dellyranxmusic,” Vershon wrote on Instagram.

Buju Banton has been making headlines in recent weeks as he gears up to release his much anticipated new album. The deejay sent tongues wagging after he was spotted in the studio with producer Pharrell Williams.
