Wayne Marshall has finally broken his silence on why he decided to chop his iconic locks following his guest appearance at Reggae Sumfest.
The veteran Dancehall artiste recently shocked fans after re-emerging with a Gospel-themed track “Glory To God,” and sporting a brand new look after cutting his locks.
According to the “Overcome” deejay, the decision was both a personal and spiritual one, as he is currently going through a transitional period in his life and feels it was the right time for a change.
The deejay says he feels refreshed and renewed making the decision, adding that “I feel like I’m asking God to change a lot, and bring some new situations into play so why not meet him halfway in the earthly realm.”

Back in May, the Wayne Marshall revealed that he was making active changes to his music after receiving “clear instructions from God.”
Marshall’s revelation has only further fueled fans theories that the entertainer could be ready to turn his life over to God, like several artistes in the last few years including Lady Saw and Alaine.
