Nigerian singer/songwriter WizKid releases the official music video for “Come Closer” his new collaborative single with Canadian Rapper Drake.
The track comes after ‘6 God’ and StarBoy teamed up last year for their Hot 100-topping hit “One Dance.”
WizKid has been having a great year which was topped off with him signing a multi-album worldwide deal with RCA Records/Sony Music International last month. His first project from the deal is expected by Summer 2017.
“It’s hard for me to describe what I do, since I work with rhythms from Afro-Beat, reggae, hip-hop, dance hall and others,” WizKid told Billboard in a statement. “What’s important to me is for music to be real, authentic, raw and timeless. I don’t wanna be boxed in to any one genre.”
WizKid announced “Come Closer” visuals on Instagram Friday morning. “Big thank u to my real supporters! Come closer video out,” he wrote.
“Never underestimate your magic or power! U can do it yourself!! U have everything u need!! Proud African child! ?? ,” Kid captioned another post.
