Dancehall and Reggae entertainers took to social media on Sunday to react to the tragic murder of American rapper and songwriter Nipsey Hussle.

Nipsey Hussle died after being shot multiple times while outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. The 33-year-old “Racks In The Middle” rapper, real name Ermias Davidson Ashedom, was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital. Two other people were hospitalised as a result of the shooting.

Short after the devastating news surfaced, Tarrus Riley, Ding Dong Ravers Konshens, I-Octane, Alex-A Game, DyDy, Jahmiel, Queen Ifrica, Mr. Vegas and more paid tribute to the late rapper.

“Conspiracy or just jealousy or some other reason none of us know about. The fact that someone could come right up to him and shoot him 6 times in front of his business place in a community he fought for and dedicated so much of his life to says a whole lot about this thing called life.#ripnipseyhussle,” Konshens shared.

“Smh this rough ????i usually mine my business but this one hit home ?,” Dydy wrote under a photo of Nipsey Hussle and longtime girlfriend Lauren London.

Mr Vegas touched on Nispey’s upcoming documentary about Dr Sebi while reacting to his murder, “Whenever I speak the truth, it is out of love for my brothers and sisters! This brother Nipsey Hussle spoke the truth, because he “cares” for US HUE MANS. He believed in his heart that Dr Sebi was killed and he said it without fear! Your truth will be shared for eternity God! I rejoice in your transfer! #NIPSEY.”

“A real G drop out ?? condolences to his family @nipseyhussle,” I-Octane wrote.

“Real Know Real…Rest In Peace G?…True Inspiration…Real Souljah #ThaGreatHussle,” Jahmiel shared.

Celebrity does anyone care about celebrities ?! Do they really ?! Rest good Nip you just never know what to expect these days. No respect for life anyone who dears to speak outside of the norm is targeted and mark for death Y?! Condolences to your family bro just one of those days ???,” Queen Ifrica wrote.

Moments before being shot, Nipsey wrote “Having strong enemies is a blessing,” on Twitter.

Nipsey Hussle survived by his girlfriend Lauren London and two children, Kross and Emani Asghedom.

Born in 1985 and raised in Los Angeles, Nipsey Hussle released multiple mixtapes but dropped his first official album, “Victory Lap,” last year. It was nominated for best rap album at the Grammy Awards, but lost to Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy.” Signed to Atlantic Records, he performed at the Warner Music party in Los Angeles during Grammy Week.

In the past decade, Nipsey made a name for himself as an entrepreneur. He opened the Marathon Clothing “smart store” and a STEM education center called Vector 90, both in the Crenshaw district.
