Veteran Reggae crooner Beres Hammond is now mourning the death of his elder brother Winston “Boyo” Hammond.
The “Rock Away” singer was greeted by the sad news just last week while preparing to release his new album “Never Ending.”
According to reports, Boyo passed away on October 9th in Toronto, Canada following a long battle with cancer. He was the older brother of the Jamaican superstar and was also a singer himself.
Beres Hammond Makes Shocking Revelation
The 73-year-old, who is also the father of another popular musician Lenn Hammond, started his career back in the 1960’s, predominantly performing in hotels along the north coast of Jamaica.
The veteran singer recently recorded an album, which is set to be released by VP Records in the near future.
The funeral service for Hammond will be held at the Andrews Community Funeral Center in Brompton, Ontario, on October 19th. His younger brother Beres Hammond is expected to be in attendance.
