Ziggy Marley wins 2017 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album

International Reggae artiste Ziggy Marley won the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album for his “Ziggy Marley” project on Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Give thanks to the Recording Academy for the honor, to my family, and all the artists keeping Reggae alive and well. LOVE GRAMMYs,” Marley wrote shortly after his win.

Ziggy is the eldest son of Reggae legend Bob Marley, he’s now the most decorated Reggae artiste in the Grammy’s history with seven Awards, winning three while he was a member of the band “The Melody Makers” and four as a solo artiste.

This year Best Reggae Album category at the Grammys includes Ziggy Marley self-titled album, J Boog’s Rose Petals, Raging Fyah’s Everlasting, Rebelution’s Falling Into Place, Devin Di Dakta & J.L.’s Reggae For Her — Sly and Robbie Presents Devin Di Dakta and JL, and Soja’s Live in Virginia.
