Woman shot dead, house torched in Hanover

Police are now investigating the death of a woman who was shot dead by unknown assailants and her home in Cessnock, Hanover.

The police have not yet released the identity of the woman, but she is reportedly a housekeeper who resides in the community.

According to police reports, the woman was shot dead and her house set ablaze by unknown assailants at approximately 8:45pm on Thursday evening.

Police are yet to theorize a motive in the killing.
