A wanted man was among four men who were arrested on Thursday in a police operation in Long Wall, Stony Hill, St Andrew.
According to reports, about 10:30 a.m., a team of police personnel went to the area and during a search, the four men were taken into custody.
Three of the men who were held are from West Kingston addresses, and the other is from a St Thomas address.
The police said the men are being questioned in relation to several major crimes that were committed in the Kingston Western Police Division and other areas.
A few hours after the operation in Stony Hill, a police team went to Matthews Lane in West Kingston, where a search revealed a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with one 9mm cartridge, which was seized. No one was arrested in connection with the find.
