Vybz Kartel’s Appeal Process Could Possibly Take Years

Incarcerated Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel received some very encouraging news earlier this week after a judge approved his appeal, but experts say this may only be the beginning of a very long and costly process.

According to legal experts, the convicted Dancehall superstar and his 3 co-accused still face a very long and costly battle despite clearing a major hurdle in the process. They say it could possibly take years to make its way through the Jamaican court system.

Despite this, Vybz Kartel’s fans are however remaining optimistic of the embattled deejay’s chances, as the judge’s ruling highlights that the court agrees that there is sufficient grounds to warrant a review of the trial. Some believe that the appeal process could even be fast tracked given its high profile nature.

Adidjah “Vybz Kartel” Palmer and his 3 co-accused, Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St. John were all convicted in the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
