Vybz Kartel’s appeal hearing set later this year

Vybz Kartel’s appeal process may finally be ready to begin, as his legal team is expected to receive the transcripts from his trial as early as next week.

Vybz Kartel aka Adidjah Palmer was convicted to a 35 years in prison for the 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. However, Many legal experts believe that the embattled deejay stands a good chance of overturning the punishment.

According to one of the artiste’s legal representatives, Tom Tavares-Finson, the new development may allow the appeal to begin as early as next month, and his team .

Tavares-Finson revealed that “The transcripts have been reviewed, and we were told that they have been copying and numbering the pages over the last couple of months. As you can well imagine, it is a couple of boxes of transcripts, but we have been informed that within the next week, it will be finished and Vybz Kartel will receive it, and then he can instruct his legal team, whosoever he chooses, to act and start the appeal process.”
