Vybz Kartel is in full World Cup mode and not even prison can stop him.
On Friday, the incarcerated Dancehall superstar took to social media to show support for his football team Argentina. “Iceland??…joke side..run over dem [Argentina],” Kartel wrote ahead of the one all draw which saw Lionel Messi missing a decisive penalty.
The ‘Fever’ deejay’s fans immediately started to speculate on how he would be able to watch the game while serving his life sentence for murder.
“How ya go watch it dawg,” a Gaza fan questioned, Vybz Kartel immediately clap back saying, “Wid me eyes dawg.”
Vybz Kartel’s response instantly went viral however man social media users were not amused, “How can you be in maximum security prison and get to watch TV, Jamaica prison system is a joke,” one wrote. “Y’all worried about him watch World Cup when the most important question is if this n***a really behind bars and on Instagram,” another wrote.
Back in May, Vybz Kartel was transferred to the St Catherine Adult Correctional Centre in Spanish Town which according to sources is not in a maximum security prison.
When the entertainer was housed at the Horizon Remand Center, inmates did not have a lot of privileges, however at in St Catherine they have access to TVs and more amenities like play area and fitness.
