Vybz Kartel currently has the number two trending single on Youtube in Jamaica after racking up over 600,000 streams in four days for his new track “Under Water”.
The single which has been lauded by his former mentor Bounty Killer who says it is ‘real dancehall’ was produced by TJ Records and featured on the new “Zinc Roof Riddim” along with Tifa, Ishawna and Kim Kelly.
Speaking on the project, TJ said he expects the juggling to go make strides in the music industry, “We expect great things to come from this project. Kartel has always made an effort to stand out with his craft by following his own path and instinct, ” he said.
Vybz Kartel Gets Another High Profile Visit In Prison
There is nothing Gaza and Dancehall fans love more than a Vybz Kartel and TJ Records collaboration. The Duo recently gave us the “King Of The Dancehall” album which included hits such as “Fever”, “Western Union” and “Colouring This Life”.
“King Of The Dancehall” did well, reaching number one on the iTunes Reggae charts in the US and Italy. It also peaked at number 31 on the iTunes music main charts in the US. The incarcerated deejay also collaborated with the producer on his 2014 EP, Exclusivity.
