Vybz Kartel is already making plans ahead of his possible release next year.
The incarcerated Dancehall superstar who is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of former associate Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams is gearing up for his appeal trial set for February 19, 2018.
According to sources close to the “Fever” deejay, Kartel is planning on changing his life around if he gets vindicated, “The boss [Vybz Kartel] really looking into his life and reflecting a lot since him get lock up, the Teacha is planning on making big changes if he gets released”, sources said.
The source added that one of the changes Kartel will be making is spending more time with his children, “When Addi was on top it was hard for him to spend enough time with his kids but they will be his first priority if he’s released and work comes second. He also has a second daughter that him never see before so he has a lot of catching up to do with her.”
Meanwhile, Kartel’s lawyers are confident of a successful appeal trial and overturning the life sentence.
“We don’t want to brag, we are working assiduously on the appeal, we are being very detailed in what we argue before the court to substantiate our claim that Kartel didn’t get a fair trial,” Valerie Neita Robertson said.
