Vybz Kartel Jurors Facing Tough Times After Guilty Verdict

Two of the jurors that handed down a guilty verdict which condemned Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel back in 2014 say their lives are now a living hell.

The two jurors, who are now living overseas, say it has been extremely difficult for them as they are struggling to make a new life in a foreign country since the infamous murder trial which transformed their lives completely.

The jurors where two of three who were relocated overseas under the witness protection program following the trial of the Dancehall entertainer and his three co-accused Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St. John.

The pair also testified in the ongoing corruption trial of 50-year-old football coach Livingston Cain, a fellow juror, who was accused of offering them $500,000 to return a verdict of not guilty against the entertainer.

According to one of the jurors, the program needs a total overhaul as it only benefits criminals or people trying to escape their past and have nothing going on for them in Jamaica.

She says feels isolated as her entire identity was changed, and restrictions placed upon her contact with family members and anyone from Jamaica.

The juror revealed that those under the program are prohibited from contacting family members outside the eight days per year that they are allowed to visit her at a prescribed location.

According to the woman, she has even considered suicide as a means of escaping her depressing situation.

Much of these claims were also shared by the second juror who claims he has not seen his wife or children in over three years and fears he will never be able to set foot in Jamaica again.
