Vybz Kartel is giving back to his community

Even with being incarcerated for the past five years, Vybz Kartel is giving back to his community.

The “Worl Boss” will be sponsoring a robotics camp in his hometown, Portmore – the aim of the camp is to teach students the basics of robotic engineering and computer science. The project will benefit students from several highs schools in the area.

The Robotics Camp project will be led by Marvin Hall who is a representative of Halls of Learning which is a Jamaican based organization that catalyzes yearly robotic camps and after school robotics club.

This isn’t Vybz Kartel’s first charitable donation, he recently donated a computer to the Greater Portmore High School as part of his Gaza Literacy program and plans on issuing more to other schools.

The recording artiste was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his associate, Clive “Lizard” Williams, his legal team has appealed the conviction and they are currently waiting on a hearing date which could possibly be set for later this year or early 2017.
