Vybz Kartel Fans Plan To Boycott Upcoming Single With Lorde

Gaza fans are vowing to boycott Vybz Kartel’s upcoming international collaboration with Major Lazer and New Zealand singer Lorde.

The Dancehall-infused banger was previewed last week on Lazer Sound radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1. In the preview, the ‘Royals’ hit maker can be heard over a 80’s dancehall rhythm as she samples veteran recording artist Yellowman’s 1984 classic “Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt.”

However while many believe the single will be another smash hit, the incarcerated Dancehall superstar’s fans say they won’t be supporting any single with Lorde because of her previous comments about Dancehall/Reggae.

Back in 2014, Lorde made rounds in Jamaica when she revealed that she hated the genre coming out of the country. In a video titled ‘The World According to Lorde’, posted on her Vevo page, the artist stated: “I hate reggae, reggae makes me feel like am late for something”.
