Vybz Kartel eyes Billboard and Grammy, set to release more international singles

Incarcerated Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel is hoping for another Billboard success and this time a possible Grammy nomination as he’s set to release more international singles.

According to sources close to the self-proclaimed ‘Worl Boss,’ Kartel is now focused on dominating the international market and will be doing more collaborations with overseas acts. Kartel will feature Jamaican Pop singer Sean Kingston on one of the already confirmed singles, while another sees the ‘Fever’ deejay teaming up with New Zealand singer Lorde known for her 2013 hit single ‘Royals.’ Sources added that there could also be a Vybz Kartel single with Rapper Tyga, Safaree and Shyne.

Vybz Kartel’s “Ramping Shop” which features ‘Queen of Stage’ Spice, debuted on the Billboard Top 100 Singles charts in 2009.

Kartel has worked on collaborations and remixes with many big names like Jay-Z, Rihanna, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, M.I.A, Pharrell Williams, Kardinal Offishall, Akon, Jim Jones, Lil Wayne and Eminem in the past.
