Vybz Kartel Defense Attorney Gives Update On Upcoming Appeal

Vybz Kartel’s lawyers say they are ready for his upcoming appeal trial set for next year.

The incarcerated Dancehall superstar and his three co-accused in the 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams will be heard in the Court of Appeal on February 19, 2018.

According to the “Fever” deejay’s attorney Tom Tavares-Finson, his team is fully prepared for the three week trial as they’ll be pulling out all the stops to overturn the murder conviction.

While Vybz Kartel was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, his legal team says there was a lot of holes in the case authorities brought against him including cops allegedly tampering with evidence and intimidating witnesses.

Meanwhile, Kartel is set to release a new album ahead of him appeal. According to sources close to the self-proclaimed “Worl Boss,” Kartel’s team will be releasing a new EP titled “Party” this summer. The project follows Kartel’s chart-topping ‘King Of The Dancehall’ album released last year.
