Vybz Kartel

Vybz Kartel has released new visuals for his single, “Run Dancehall” which features Lisa Mercedez.

As the title tells us, the incarcerated deejay, flexes his status as dancehall royalty. The track itself was produced by Jermaine JB Baker Productions and the visuals were produced by Warrior Films JA.

“The Worl’ Boss cyaan stall / Yo a Addi a di king an him a run dancehall / Addi a di king an him a run dancehall / Addi a di king an him a run dancehall,” Lisa Mercedez sings in the hook. “Dem couldn’t be me, a dot to a 3D,” Kartel deejays. “Likkle pickney a greet me like me a keep treat / Big ‘ooman seh dem need di teelie, di sweet sweet / Young gyal a cock up fi Teacha, fi beat meat / P***y run like tracks like Jago raid yuh stadium / Da alien here nuh stay nowhere Uranus / Mi status famous, various catty rate us” Lisa Mercedez deejays.

The theme of the music seems to be a generic dancehall street dance with choreographed routines and traditional Jamaican dancing. Skikka Rhymes is also seen in the music video who seems to be playing the role of Vybz Kartel.

“Mi nav nuh time fi waste / Up to di time, same way / Me a run di universe, di world a mine same way / Big up every DJ (every DJ) 90% a unuh a my DNA / Talk truth,” The Worl’ Boss states in his seconds verse.

The audio for the track was released on May 2 and it is currently available to stream and purchase.
