Incarcerated Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel has been admitted to hospital with a kidney infection.
According to reports, the ‘Fever’ deejay fell ill yesterday afternoon and told prison officials that he was suffering from severe pains in his back.
Vybz Kartel was treated by medical staff at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Center, also known as the General Penitentiary (GP), however following treatment, he complained about the same condition around 6pm.

The deejay was then transported to hospital early this morning after his condition did not improve. Sources close to Kartel says he has been ill since last week Wednesday.
Vybz Kartel is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of former associate Clive ‘Lizzard’ Williams. The deejay is currently awaiting his appeal trial set for February 18, 2018.
