Tekashi 6IX9INE Goes Dancehall With ‘Punani’, Inspired By Leftside’s ‘Want Yuh Body’

Rapper Tekashi 6IX9INE rolls out a brand new Dancehall-inspired new single ‘Punani’ which samples Leftside’s smash hit ‘Want Yuh Body’.

‘Punani’ has captured the attention of the Dancehall community instantly after its released as the title is a popular slang used in Jamaica. Listeners were then pleasantly surprised as the track also contains a similar rhythm and lyrics to Leftside’s ‘Want Yuh Body’ which was produced over a decade ago.

Tekashi’s ‘Punani’ has the same hard hitting beat of the original however his version contained hip-hop pulses as he would have punch line “Phat Punani” on the hook. The track lasted for 1 minute 40 seconds which is not enough time to grasp to meaning.

Punani was directed by Canonf8, mixed and mastered by Wizard Lee. The track currently has over 37 million views since its release on August 2.
