Squash has been tipped to be the new ‘King Of The Dancehall.’

It may still be early days for the “6ix Boss,” but his manager Heavy D has already predicted him to become the new “King of the Dancehall” in the near future.

According to the artiste’s management team, the deejay current reign over Dancehall will not end anytime soon as he continues to churn out out countless hits and control the trends in the genre.

The veteran music promoter pointed out that three of the top five videos now trending in Jamaica are coming from the 6ix camp, highlighting their stronghold over the next generation of music lovers.

Heavy D went on to argue that this sets the foundation for the 6ix Boss to eventually become the new ‘king of Dancehall’ as he sees no slowing down for him or the 6ix outfit.

“The 6ix is real, man. Once yuh see a man continuously a put out good music, dem thing yah a go happen. Is not one-day good songs dem yute yah have. Daddy 1 alone put out four hit songs. A di first me see a new artiste do dat. I know what is a hit and I’ve never seen that before,” said Heavy D.

According to the industry veteran, they are “the best part of Dancehall right now,” and compared their rapid rise and dominance to that of other greats such as Yellow Man, Beenie Man, and Vybz Kartel.

The claim has since sparked some controversy among Dancehall fans on social media, with some claiming that the deejay has a lot more to do before he can claim that title.

In the past few months Squash has emerged as one of the hottest acts in Dancehall. His fellow 6ix members Chronic Law and Daddy1 are also enjoying massive popularity charting several hit singles which continue to dominate the party scene.
