Spice Sparks Debate Over Vybz Kartel ‘Ramping Shop’ Collaboration

Spice and Vybz Kartel’s smash hit collaboration “Ramping Shop” has been given new life.

The Queen of Dancehall/Reality TV show star sparked a huge debate with fans recently after she asked them if the incarcerated deejay said “Nike” or “Nine” in the single.

“Did Kartel say cocky longer than me…. (Nike) or (Nine),” Spice asked in a Twitter poll.

In 2009, Ramping Shop became one of the most controversial dancehall releases in history. The song sparked nationwide ethical debates and suffered stop orders such that it continues to affect public music-distribution regulations.

The song also peaked at No. 76 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, where it spent 15 weeks.
