Sizzla Spreads ‘Corona’ Awareness In New Track

Sizzla Kalonji is using his music to spread awareness about the Coronavirus.

The Reggae superstar has released a brand new track addressing the life-threatening respiratory disease.

“Coronavirus deh bout” Sizzla sings on the track, warning fans to protect themselves from the dangerous disease.

The track, which is featured on the classic Far East Riddim, is actually a freestyle Sizzla explained.

“It was a freestyle recorded to raise awareness. The riddim is not ours, but we like doing music on the old-school rhythms because it is real to our culture,” Sizzla Kalonji told The Star.

“It is a very serious matter so I think for better understanding of public matters more artistes should do a little song highlighting the matter,” he said.

The Reggae star would go on to warn fans to keep their third eye open and look out for each other.

“The best we can do is unite stay together and look out for each other and take our ancestors and parents teachings more serious. It’s only out there to hurt us as a people,” he said.

Sizzla would go on to offer condolences to all the families who lost someone due to the pandemic. However, the deejay said he is convinced that the disease is actually man-made.

“Something went wrong wherever but it was still intended for the people. It’s just the Babylon system hurting our people for whatsoever gains but it might have been far more dangerous than they’ve expected it to be,” he said.

The Reggae expressed hope that a cure can be found soon while calling on governments to do more.

“Countries have to take serious measures to protect citizens as this will also help to protect other citizens of other countries,” he said.
