Shenseea Rvssian

Rvssian has called on Dancehall fans to be more supportive of their stars.

Prolific Dancehall/Reggaeton producer Rvssian has lashed out against destructive criticisms leveled against local entertainers.

The “Blessed” producer recently took to Twitter to plead with Dancehall fans to their stars instead of tearing them down.

“Jamaica. Let’s build our stars and future. Stop trying to tear down our own artistes… too much negativity. Let’s get it!” he tweeted.

The plea came just days before the release of his latest single “IDKW,” which features Shenseea, Young Thug and Swae Lee.

Many fans have since speculated that the tweets were in defense of Shenseea, who has heavily criticized after the track’s release.

Several fans took to social media to react to Rvssian’s plea, accusing him of begging ‘fake patriotism.” Other fans took the opportunity to criticize Shenseea’s vocals on the track and her overall performance.

“Hurt unu hurt cause when other Artiste a get tear down, mi nuh c u run come out an seh nutn?” one user lashed out.

Several other fans would go on to question the lack of promotion from the overseas-based artistes featured on the track.

“IDKW” samples Buju Banton’s 1992 dancehall track “Bonafide Love,” which features Wayne Wonder on the chorus. The official video for “IDKW” is currently number 02 on Youtube’s trending list.
