Drake and Popcaan

The Tropixs (Saint Thomas, Jamaica) – Popcaan is expected to deliver yet another massive spectacle for this year’s staging of Unruly Fest.

Anticipation is brewing for the second staging of the event following the deejay’s recent announcement that the event would be hosted on December 21, in his birth parish of St Thomas.

The announcement has already sparked speculation among fans, who are eager to learn which artistes will be featured on this year’s line up following last year’s incredible first staging.

Last year fans were treated to performances from several local and international superstars including Drake, Tory Lanez, Bounty Killer, Bugle, I-Wayne, Agent Sasco, Tanya Stephens and countless others.

Producer of the event Carlene Samuels has revealed that they are currently in negotiations for this year’s lineup. However, she remained tightlipped about which artists will be appearing for this year’s staging.

Fans have already started to speculate that this year’s staging could feature even more international acts following Popcaan’s recent signing to Drake’s OVO Sound label and his performance on OVO Fest a month ago.

According to Samuels, “Reggae Sumfest is an outstanding event that promotes Jamaica’s culture and lifestyle, Unruly Fest also has a similar mandate.”

Earlier this year Popcaan also hosted his second staging of his “Off to school” Funday and treat, in-keeping with his vision of uplifting St Thomas to become one of the premier destinations in Jamaica.
