Police Charge Suspect In Westmoreland Quadruple Murder

The police have charged one man in connection with last November’s gruesome quadruple murder in Brighton district, Westmoreland.

Cops have formally laid charges against 26-year-old Ryan Letsman of a Kings Street address in Montego Bay, St James.

According to police reports, Letsman was apprehended on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at a local bar in the Retreat area last December. Reports indicate that he was found with one illegal firearm and 13 rounds of ammunition in his possession.

Letsman was charged with four counts of murder, arson, robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition on January 11 after being positively identified during an identification parade.

It is alleged that Letsman and three other men shot and killed 32-year-old Alwayne Clarke, his wife 57-year-old Susan Nyman-Clarke, 42-year-old Wayne Thompson and 30-year-old Deron Walters, in a house in the Brighton district on Friday, November 24, 2017.

Police say they are currently still seeking other three men involved in the incident and are pleading with anyone with any valid information to contact the Savanna-la-Mar Criminal Investigation Branch at 955-2758, Crime Stop at 311, the police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
