Mr Vegas has come under fire from the Christian community following the release of his new Reggae single.
The former Dancehall deejay-turn-Gospel artist rolled out a track titled ‘Adios Irma’ for his Hurricane Irma Caribbean relief fund last week, however the lyrics of the single has since caused many to question his faith.
The ‘Jesus Train’ singer has since been labelled as a confused with many citing that in the last few months he’s been switching between Dancehall, Reggae and Gospel.
The Christian community also dubbed Vegas as an opportunist, claiming he only turned to the religion in hopes of launching a new career like former ‘Queen of Dancehall Lady Saw.

However Vegas has since responded to the critics saying members of the Christian community are just jealous because he’s a celebrity so they’re trying to tear him down.
Despite the backlash the veteran singer is still standing by his belief that a Christian should be able to do Reggae and Dancehall music once its clean. Vegas says he will continue doing all genres of music to provide for his family.
