Alkaline Creates Dancehall History

Alkaline is one of the biggest and hardest working Dancehall artist in the industry right now and he’s got the numbers to prove.

The Vendetta deejay recently clocked over 500,000 subscribers on his official VEVO account, becoming the first Dancehall act to hit the prestigious half-million mark.

The ‘Gyalis Pro’ deejay currently has 500,640 subscribers on YouTube, the newly crowned ‘Queen of Dancehall’ Spice is in second place with 383,180 and his longtime rival Vybz Kartel in third with 365,053.

According to Dancehall insiders, Alkaline’s constant body of work contributed to the online success. “Like it or not this kid [Alkaline] is really doing the work and other artists in Jamaica need to take notes,” he told The Tropixs. “VEVO is cutting big cheques and Dancehallers need to get with the time and cash out.”
