Mr Vegas turned quite a few heads on Wednesday after the deejay appeared in the St Thomas Parish Court to hear the case of the embattled mother who is charged with child cruelty following the emergence of a disturbing viral video.
The entertainer ventured to St Thomas on Wednesday in order to witness the court hearing for Doreen Dyer, who was arrested and charged following the emergence of a disturbing video of her beating her 12-year-old daughter with a machete.
According to Vegas, although he initially condemned the woman’s actions, he has recently had a change of heart towards the entire situation as he has learned the woman’s full story.
Machete-Wielding Mother Struggles To Find Legal Fees
The deejay says he decided to show up to the hearing as he has developed a genuine concern for the family, and believes they need help more than punishments that will ultimately separate them.
The “I Am Blessed” deejay revealed that he even recently visited the child’s school in an effort to gain some insight into the situation, and discovered that the child has enormous potential, only lacking in financial support, which he hopes to help raise through his various platforms.
