Doreen Dyer, the woman seen in a viral video using a machete to brutally beat daughter has been charged with cruelty to a child.
The 44-year-old is scheduled to appear before the St Thomas Parish Court on Monday, October 9, she was granted bail with surety.

Dyer was arrested on Sunday shortly after a video – which was shot last November -surfaced on social media showing her beating a 12-year-old child.
While many have condemned Dyer’s actions via social media, one of her daughters is defending her, claiming its ‘tough love’ in response to her sister misbehaving.
