Media personality Candice Buchanan is calling out Chinese owners of JoJo’s Jerk Pit in Kingston, Jamaica.
The former CVM TV producer and presenter took to social media over the weekend claiming that she was assaulted and threaten by the operators of the restaurant which is located at 12 Waterloo Road. Buchanan says the incident occurred after she wasn’t informed of a JMD $1000 cover charge to enter the establishment.
According to her a Chinese man then began to verbally abuse her, a female who identified herself as the owner then stepped in and things got heated and physical.

Buchanan says she was told to “go back where you come from,” and that she would be ‘sorry’ if she mentioned anything bad about restaurant publicly.
Candice says she believes the incident was racially motivated, “I believe that its because i have an afro, and my friend had a big afro… and the gentlemen we were with were black,” she said. Buchanan added that since her friend shared her experience several persons say they had similar encounters. Watch full video below.
