It seems someone doesn’t want Dexta Daps to be great, or maybe it’s just coincidence?
The Dancehall superstar was in a jubilant mood earlier this week as he took to Instagram announcing 1 million followers. However, that announcement was quickly ruined as one person decided to unfollow the deejay.
Upon realizing hundreds of his fans quickly chimed in on the coincidence.
“But it look like some ppl unfollow u after this post cause am seeing 999k,” one person pointed out. “Somebody really unfollowed him? Badmind issa helluva thing enuh,” another fan added.
“Mi vex and a nuh me. Like really? He deserves the million and more.”
“Dem too wicked and badmind. Mek dem gweh from the page anyway. @dextadaps gratitude is a must.”
However, his fans quickly sought to rectify the situation by taking matters in their own hands. “I swear I just followed him from my fake page and he went back to 1M. Mi hate ppl yo,” an angry fan said.
Dexta Daps is only the latest Jamaican celebrity to join the illustrious million-plus club on Instagram. Other notable entertainers who currently boast such a feat include; Shenseea, Popcaan, Spice, Ding Dong, Vybz Kartel, and Sean Paul.
Before the bubble bursting moment, Dexta Daps had made the announcement by posting a pic saying, “Thanks to all my fans around the world for helping me reach one million Instagram followers. Don’t forget to keep streaming my new album Vent and use the Instagram hashtags #DextaDaps #VentDextaDaps.”
