Lil Kim has released brand new Dancehall flavoured track “Nasty One.”
The veteran female rapper celebrated her 42nd birthday on Wednesday by dropping the first single from her as-yet-untitled fifth studio album, which will be released by EOne music later this year.
The track, which showcases a distinctly Jamaican sound, also samples Bad English’s classic hit single “When I See You Smile,” which was covered by Jamaican artist Singing Sweet back in the 90’s.

Nasty One is a surprising detour for the traditional hardcore bars the rapper is known for, instead she opts to showcase her vocal talents on the single.
“No other man makes me feel the way you do / I’m the nastiest when I’m with you / I’m a freak but only with my boo / You searched the world and now see that / Now you see you’ll never find a girl like me,” Kim sings.
Lil Kim promised fans that “Nasty One” is only a taste of what’s to come, as her album will feature a variety of different sounds.
