Marion Hall Adds Dancehall Flavour To New Album

Marion Hall is going back to her roots as she has added some Dancehall flavour to her sophomore Gospel album “His Grace.”

The former “Queen of Dancehall” says she decided to add a little Dancehall sound to the project with the single “Tun Back Christian,” after realizing the album could use something like that.

According to Hall, she added the song to reach out to people who are in the church but don’t necessarily feel content and end up walking away from God. The song also criticizes churchgoers who chastise those struggling instead of helping them.

The 15 track album, which is produced by Hall, is set for release on July 20 and will feature a variety of sounds including traditional Gospel, Mento, and Dancehall.

Hall, formerly known as Lady Saw, is the first female Dancehall artist to win a Grammy Award and to be certified as a triple-platinum artist.
