Pop superstar Lady Gaga is set to replace Beyonce as the headliner for the Coachella festival in 2017 after she was forced to cancel due to pregnancy.
According to Billboard Magazine, the “Bad Romance” singer will replace Beyonce as the headliner for both weekends in April. Coachella is yet to officially confirm the news but a statement is expected within a few days.

A number of superstars were reportedly contacted to fill the vacant headline spot including Rihanna and Justin Timberlake but Gaga was chosen after headlining a number of high profile events this year including the Superbowl Halftime show.
Beyonce had to cancel her scheduled performance at Coachella after doctors advised her it could possibly pose a health risk due. She is currently pregnant with twins.
