Judge Rules That Kartel Juror Has Case To Answer

A judge has ruled that Livingston Cain, the juror on trial for allegedly trying to bribe his fellow jurors in Vybz Kartel’s murder trial, has a case to answer.

The ruling was recently made by justice Maxine Ellis in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.

Cain was arrested and charged back in 2014 following Vybz Kartel’s murder conviction after he allegedly offered the jury foreman $500,000 to convince other jurors to find the Dancehall superstar and his three co-accused not guilty.

He was charged with six counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Vybz Kartel Responds To Son’s Backlash Over Skin Bleaching

The embattled football coach has maintained his innocence claiming that he did not bribe any members of the jury, claiming that his views that Vybz Kartel should be freed were based upon inconsistencies in the case.

Cain’s legal representatives had previously argued that there was not enough evidence presented by the prosecution for him to face trial.

Vybz Kartel is currently awaiting a verdict in his appeal trial as he attempts to overturn his 2014 conviction for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
