Ishawna stopped by The Entertainment Report last week to speak candidly on her new viral single “Equal Rights.”

The former Downsound Records artist has been getting a lot of backlash since the release of the raunchy single earlier this month with many Dancehall selectors saying they won’t be playing the track however Ishawna tells host Anthony Miller that she simply doesn’t care.

“Mi doah care bout dem…. from ever since Ishawna is that type of artist that i don’t really care about selectors not playing my song or radio,” She said. “I mean big up everybody who play my song and thing but my career isn’t really based on that.”

Ishawna says her music is for her female fans and they’ve been giving her nothing but positive feedback since the release while adding that “Equal Rights” is more than just a song it’s a movement.

The “Restraining Order” singer also revealed some shocking statics during the interview, according to Ishawna, 96% of Jamaican men are currently performing oral sex.

“Some a dem weh a cuss a hypocrite because 96% addi man dem inna Jamaica a do 69,” she said.
