I-Octane Talks New Album, Expanding Brand

I-Octane is aiming to reach new heights after spending much of last year revamping his brand.

The international Reggae/Dancehall superstar says was less visible on the entertainment scene last year as he spent most of 2017 putting some serious work into his “Conquer The Globe” record label, and working on his recent “Love & Life” album.

According to the “Weh The Fire Gone” deejay, the venture was difficult, but fulfilling once the project was completed.

“Experience teaches wisdom. I learnt from my mistakes that I should capitalise more. I told myself that I want to contribute to my brand and this is one of the things I wanted to do. Doing this project took more time, more money and more effort, but in doing this I valued it more,” he told Splash. “It was very difficult; you have to reach out. We’re a new team so we had to ask a lot of favours. I am the executive producer so I have to play a lot of these roles. You have to put your name on the line…it’s more about relationships than having money.”

The deejay is already enjoying the fruits of his labour as the album is doing well, occupying the Number 3 position on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart.

I-Octane also revealed that he s getting ready to shoot music videos two of the lead singles from the album “Unfair Games” and Weh The Fire Gone.”

The 19 track album is distributed by California-based company IDC and is executively produced by the Reggae superstar.
