Here’s The Most Streamed Dancehall Artistes of 2018

The top five most-streamed Dancehall entertainers on YouTube of 2018 has been revealed.

According the streaming data from the popular video-sharing website, incarcerated Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel secured the number one spot with a whopping 25.4 million views this year out of Jamaica.

Holding the second position is Alkaline with 25.3 million views, the Vendetta deejay is followed by Popcaan with 19.4 million, Masicka who racked up 15.2 million, while Dancehall newcomer Rygin King got over 11 million views.

Vybz Kartel and Alkaline are the top streamed artistes in Montego Bay with almost 455,000 views each. The ‘Unruly Boss’ Popcaan received 273,000, Rygin King got 246,000 views from his hometown and Masicka was in ‘top form’ with 225,000.

The top Dancehall songs streamed in Kingston this year were; Rygin King’s Tuff, Dre Island’s We Pray which features Popcaan, They Don’t Know by Masicka and Popcaan’s Inviolable.

While Montego Bay-based deejay Teejay ruled the second city with two most streamed songs “My Type” and “Uptop Boss” along with Vybz Kartel’s “Deso It Deh.”
