A female Alpha high school is now in hospital after reportedly being shot in the head during a alleged high speed chase between the police and a taxi operator in Kingston.
Initial reports indicate that the student was shot while traveling in a taxi, which was allegedly signaled to stop by the police officers. The taxi operator did not conform, and a high speed chase ensued.
During the chase shots were reportedly fired and the student and a adult passenger were shot and injured.
However, the police have reportedly refuted these claims, stating that the shooting was carried out by men in similar attire to police officers, but were not lawmen.
