Apple in talks to acquire Jay Z’s Tidal

Apple is reportedly considering an acquisition of Jay Z’s streaming company Tidal, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Apple reportedly opened discussions Tidal into a possible acquisition, as they view the move as having great potential to beef up their streaming service Apple Music.

Tidal has a reported 4.2 million paying subscribers, and boasts a unique relationship with several top selling artiste including Kanye West.

According to the Journal, discussions may not result necessarily result in a deal, and a Tidal spokesman even dismissed the talks as rumours.
