Fans have declared Vybz Kartel the only King Of Dancehall.
Dancehall fans have declared Burger King as the only other royalty worthy of the Gaza deejay’s throne.
In a recent poll, Dancehall fans had their say on who should take over the ‘King of Dancehall’ mantle if Vybz Kartel relinquishes the throne.
Fans were asked to choose between Alkaline, Popcaan, Masicka, and Burger King for the throne. The answers were a resounding yes for the fast-food giant.
Ironically, Kartel himself had made the very same declaration in one of his latest tracks. “Any other King a Burger King,” he declared in his hit single “ADIADKING.” And it seems that dancehall fans agree.
However, on more serious grounds, some fans did point out that Popcaan was a suitable candidate. Popcaan was, however, quick to brush this off by commenting “Give Burger King eeh crown, me nuh need no man crown.”
Despite his incarceration, Vybz Kartel continues to be the dominant force in Dancehall. He had yet another stellar year dominating the charts and headlines.
Last week the deejay was declared the top artiste for 2019 by The Star with his closest rival being Teejay.
