Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays (J-FLAG) is offering its support to UK X Factor Winner Dalton Harris after he revealed his sexuality.
The Jamaican singer shared on Twitter last week that he identifies himself as pansexual. Harris made the revelation by uploading the flag which represents Pansexuality.
Pansexuality is sexual, romantic or emotional attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity. Pansexual people may refer to themselves as gender-blind, asserting that gender and sex are not determining factors in their romantic or sexual attraction to others.
Glenroy Murray, director of strategy and impact at the J-FLAG says they are ready to provide support and information for Harris.
“Dalton taking this step to share with the rest of the world who he is –not that he has to because no one has to come out — we celebrate him because he deemed it an important stride in his own journey of self-acceptance,” Murray told the STAR.
